Many students have provided very encouraging comments at the end-of-term evaluations, and here is a collection of comments. Listed below are student comments for just one course.

In Winter B 2024, I taught Financial Modeling, a BBA level elective course at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. Here are some nice things my students said about this course.

1 Prof. Lei is an elite teacher whom I would take more classes with wherever possible. His clear-cut style of teaching was easy to follow while still offering depth in the material. His lessons transcend the slide decks as well, giving PRACTICAL takeaways for students going into banking.
2 I learned so much about LBO’s and the IB/PE/VC industry. I am going into IB, so this course was very helpful to understand the kind of work I will be doing in the future. I loved Qin’s use of real world examples in class as well.
3 I enjoyed the assistance throughout modeling. Personally I did not have lots of knowledge of financial modeling and this class had a very user friendly way of teaching it. I also really enjoyed all of the other optional material that the professor recommended. I took the time to engage with most of the material and found that I became more interested the more I read.

11 This course was very relevant to students going into finance. Qin was always available to help, quick to reply to email, and his TA Jorge was phenomenal. The final project was extremely helpful and the weekly trivia questions were strong learning checkpoints as well.
12 The course is very well organized and provides great additional background to lecture contents. Lectures include relevant real world examples to supplement modeling exercises. I was able to learn more a great deal of material in a shortened class.
13 I really liked how instructions were clear and that we had a lot of practice problems to do. I also liked how the professor used many real-life references to help explain different concepts.
