Student Comments
Many students have provided very encouraging comments at the end-of-term evaluations, and here is a collection of comments. Listed below are student comments for just one course.
In Winter A 2025, I taught Managing OMBA Fund - Part B, an OMBA level elective course at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. Here are some nice things my students said about this course.
| 1 | The professor did an excellent job of holding students to a high standard regarding the final project and the analysis within. He was not afraid to respectfully push opposing views to challenge our perspective, allowing us to strengthen our arguments and conclusions through his extensive feedback. He was also very helpful outside of scheduled class meetings, and all discussions with him were very helpful and informative. |
| 2 | - The use of FactSet and exposure to real-world investment screening tools were valuable and practical. - The stock pitch exercise was a useful way to apply concepts and practice presenting an investment thesis. - The structure of the course encouraged independent thinking and decision-making, which is a key aspect of real-world investing. |
| 3 | Professor Qin is extremely knowledgeable |
| 4 | The presentation and research part was great! |
| 5 | I like the idea of having to make the stock pitch, but I would have rather taken it from a *neutral analyst* position vs what i felt was a give us a reason to buy position. |
